I LOVE YOU S'MORE EVERY DAY (2)

For the Lawnscaping Challenge, we had to create a project with something sweet. I came up with a card using the s’more from the Love You S’More stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by stamping the s’more, bird, logs and fire images onto som white cardstock. For the logs I used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The rest I colored in with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used.
S’More: E00 – E11/ E25 – E35
Bird: R14 – R17 – R46/ Y08 – Y17 – Y38
Fire: Y02 – Y08 – YR15 – Y17 – YR07

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug and started on my background. I first stamped the hills, with the hill stamp in the Love You S’More set. I used Distress Inks to create the sky and grass. Here are the colors I used:
Sky: Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac
Grass: Old Paper and Mowed Lawn

I stamped some pine trees with the Lawn Fawn Noble Fir Ink. The sentiment I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and I added some hearts to it, that I stamped with Lawn Fawn Wild Rose Ink.

I adhered the images with foam tape and added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the fire and the s’more. I adhered the panel to a white cardbase and rounded off the top corners with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

A fun love card that I made for the Lawnscaping Challenge. Please check it out.

WEEKLY WISH LIST (12)

Here is this week's wish list.

Stamps: Sohcahtoa (Altenew)

This looks like a simple stamp set, but I think I would use this a lot. It's perfect from creating backgrounds and great patterns. And because it has solid and open triangles, you can either color them or stamp them with nice inks. And it also comes with some great sentiments.

Dies: Ocean Waves Trio (Mama Elephant)

Mama Elephant products are really hard to get here in the Netherlands. And I've seen many ocean wave dies. But I like this one the best, so I hope I can get my hands on it somehow.

Inks: Doe (Lawn Fawn)

I think this Doe color would look good on kraft cardstock. Some tone on tone stamping looks amazing.

Other: Polka in the Meadow 12x12 Paper Pack (Lawn Fawn)

I haven't bought any pattern paper for a long time. The new Lawn Fawn papers are great and this Polka in the Meadow is my favorite. I could create envelopes with it to send my cards in and also make candy boxes out of it (just bought the Candy Box Die from Lawn Fawn).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRIKE UP THE BAND! (1)

Off all the new stamps from My Favorite Things, this Strike Up the Band stamp set is my absolute favorite.

I started by stamping three of the bunnies on white cardstock. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Bunnies: E11 – E21 – E35
Jacket, shoes, rim of hat: YG03 – G14 – G07
Hats, pants, buttons, flute, cymbals: Y02 – Y06 – Y17
Drum: W2 – W5/ Y06
Drum stick: E00

I fussy cut the images and set them aside. I started on the background. I used two Distress Ink colors on some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I started with Mustard Seed and then added some Wild Honey. I adhered some pattern paper onto the panel. I used the Shimelle (True Stories) 6x6 paper pad by American Crafts. I also adhered a black strip, for the bunnies to march on.

I stamped the sentiment with some Versafine Onyx Black Ink and also stamped the musical notes. Then I adhered the bunnies with foam tape. I added the panel to a yellow cardbase and used some Wink of Stella glitter on the outfits of the bunnies.

I think I’m going to use this set a lot, I love it!

NEED A HUG? (1)

Today I made an encouragement card with the smaller Yeti, Set, Go stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I just love that Yeti image.

I started by stamping the Yeti and the two trees. The trees I stamped several times. I colored the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Yeti: BG000/ W0 – W2/ RV10
Trees: G21 – BG93 – BG96

I die cut the images with my Cuttlebug. I also die cut some clouds with the Puffy Cloud Border from Lawn Fawn, a sun and some hills with the Double Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things. I adhered all of this onto some light blue cardstock. One of the clouds, one of the hills and the Yeti were adhered with foam tape, the rest was taped flat.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the belly and face of the Yeti. I adhered the panel to a dark blue cardbase.

A very simple, yet cute card.

WEEKLY WISH LIST (11)

Here is this week's wish list.

Stamps: Mom + Me (Lawn Fawn)

A perfect set to create mother's day cards with. Or off course as 'just because' card, mom themed. I just love the little owls and foxes...

Dies: Tote Bag (Lawn Fawn)

I would like to create these tote bags to put gift cards in, to give to friends or family for birthdays or other festive occassions. You can stamp on it, use pattern paper or hang a cute tag on it.

Inks: Walnut (Lawn Fawn)

I have no brown inks and this is a good color to start with. Perfect from stamping the branches of trees.

Other: Mini Misti (My Sweet Petunia)

This is a maybe for me. I think it's a very pricey item. And this is just the mini version, the bigger version is even more expensive. But I don't think I will ever need the big one. I don't have or use any huge stamps. If it's ever on sale, I might purchase the Mini Misti, for perfect stamp placement.

FOR YOU (3)

It’s really hard to make an appropriate sympathy card. The mini set Dream, from Lawn Fawn, is actually perfect for these kind of cards.

I stamped the two feather several times and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
W2 – W5 – W7

I fussy cut the feather with my scissors.

I’m entering this card into the Lawnscaping Challenge and the task is to make a black and white card with a splash of color. I decided to take the word ‘splash’ literally. I used Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks as watercolors and created a border. Here I adhered the feathers, some flat some with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I adhered the strip flat to some pattern paper. I used the 6x6 paper pad from Cottage Living by Jen Hadfield (Pebbles). The entire panel was adhered flat to a white cardbase. I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the feathers and I rounded off the top right corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

A sympathy card, not to sober, to let people know you’re thinking of them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (5)

I saw a cute owl card on Pinterest once and that’s how I got the idea for this card. I used the owl from the Critters in the Arctic stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I started by stamping the owl on some white cardstock. I also stamped the log from the Joy to the Woods stamp set and the party hat from the Year Two mini set, both also from Lawn Fawn. I colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Owl: W2 – W5 – W7
Beak: Y17
Log: E25 – E29 – E77
Party hat: BG23 – BG49

I fussy cut the images and die cut the log with my Cuttlebug. I die cut a piece of craft cardstock with the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX. I stamped the sentiment on it, with Versamark Ink, and then heat embossed it with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder from Wow.

I wanted the log to be a swing, so I used some twine to create it. I adhered a piece of twine to the back of the log, wrapped it around the image a couple of times. I added it to the panel with foam tape and adhered the long string to the back of the panel. I adhered the owl and hat also with foam tape. I adhered the entire panel to a cardbase of the same craft cardstock. I added some bows to the top of the swing using the same twine and added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the party hat, beak and log.

I really love how this turned out. It was actually a really easy card to make and you can add any critter or image to the swing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (4)

One of my best friends has a thing with turtles. I really needed a turtle stamp, so I could make fun cards for her. I found the Year Two mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I made a birthday card with it. Her birthday is in March.

I started by stamping the turtle, the party hat and the present. The present I stamped six times, because I wanted to stack them. I colored all the images with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Turtle: G05 – G14/ G21 – BG93 – BG96
Party hat: RV10 – RV21 – RV23
Presents: RV10 – RV21 – RV23/ Y02 – Y17 – Y21/ BV000 – BV02 – BV13

For the background I blended three Distress Ink colors, using the Circle Burst stencil from My Favorite Things. I used Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. I only used a quarter of the stencil, because I wanted it to come from one corner.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Then I adhered the turtle with foam tape. I added the presents to the card as well, also with foam tape, making it look like the turtle is carrying a big stack of presents.

To finish it off,I added some clear glitter with my Wink of Stella pen to the presents and the party hat. I also rounded off the bottom right corner with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

I’m really happy with the color combination and I love the result of this card. I know my friend will love this card.

HAVE AN UPBEET DAY (1)

I’m absolutely in love with this new stamp set from Lawn Fawn, Rooting For You. It’s their take on the stamp layering trend and it’s a fun set to work with. Today I created a harmonica card with these cute stamps.

I then die cut my clouds, with the Puffy Cloud Borders die from Lawn Fawn. I used simple white cardstock. I adhered them flat to the cardbase.

Now for the fun part, stamping all the veggies. The vegetables have two layers (except for the radish): a base, solid layer (the main shape of the vegetable) and the lines over top of the vegetables. I used several Lawn Fawn and My Favorite Things Inks. Here are the colors I used for stamping:
Turnip: Butter Ink and Fresh Lavender Ink (Lawn Fawn)
Carrot: Carrot Ink and Pumpkin Spice Ink (Lawn Fawn)
Beet: Fresh Lavender Ink and Juice Box Ink (Lawn Fawn)
Radish: Lobster Ink (Lawn Fawn)
Leafs: Sour Apple Ink (My Favorite Things) and Noble Fir Ink (Lawn Fawn)
Watering can: Sugarplum Ink (Lawn Fawn)

I fussy cut all the images and left a white border around the edges. Before I adhered all the images with foam tape, I stamped the sentiment and the water from the watering can with Mermaid Ink from Lawn Fawn.

To finish the card, I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the veggies and the watering can.

This is such a fun card, I think it will really brighten someone’s day.

WEEKLY WISH LIST (10)

Here is this week's wish list.

Stamps: Strike Up the Band (“My Favorite Things”)

My Favorite Things just released a bunch of new stamps and dies and there is one that just made me melt. This bunny band is one of the most adorable sets I've ever seen and I really want it. Badly! I already have a great idea of a harmonica card I want to make. This is definitely one of the first things I will purchase when I can.

Dies: Stitched Alphabet Die-Namics (My Favorite Things)

I don't have any alphabet dies, but I really need one. And because a lot of the frame dies have stitching around them, this stitched alphabet fits all that perfectly. I looks like those neon letters on Broadway.

Inks: Plastic Flamingo (Lawn Fawn)

Besides a cool blue color, pink is the Rainbow color I'm missing in my collection. This is a very pretty, bold pink color and I just love the name.

Other: Abstract stencil (My Favorite Things)

If you use this stencil on your background, you don't really need to add much more. This can be used in so many different ways. One things about stencils I love is that they are really inexpensive.

WISHING YOU TONS OF FUN (2)

For today’s card I used the Adorable Elephants stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started by stamping the butterflies. I wanted to try something different. I first stamped with the back of the butterfly stamps, so you see a solid butterfly image. I used three different ink pads: Carrot Ink and Lobster Ink from Lawn Fawn and Sour Apple Ink from My Favorite Things. I stamped them in a strip that I masked off. When I finished stamping the solid butterflies, I turned the stamp to the right side and stamped the butterfly images on top of the solid colors, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I removed the mask. I stamped one of the elephants and the thee butterflies on some white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used:
Elephant: W0 – W2 – W5
Green butterfly: YG03 – YG11- G14
Orange butterfly: Y17 – YR08 – YR15
Red butterfly: R22 – R35 – R59

I stamped the sentiment with Carrot Ink from Lawn Fawn and then adhered the elephant and butterflies with foam tape. I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to all the butterflies. I adhered the panel flat to a red cardbase, that is slightly bigger. I wanted a red strip on one side. I rounded off the bottom two corners with my We R memory Keepers Corner Chomper, and my card is done.

It’s always fun to use a new technique. You can see that you can create some fun solid images with the back of your stamps.
